Susceptible electronic components are protected through the use of an ESD (electrostatic discharge) protocol.

Adams

All bench and workstation models are available in ESD versions. The key elements are grounded ESD laminate worksurfaces (and shelves), though electrical grounding of additional components may be desirable in some cases. Tops are typically supplied with a grounding kit which consists of 1 or 2 grounding bolts and grounding wires. Bolts are installed through a hole in the rear edge of the worksurface, drilled out during assembly/installation, with grounding wires attached.

ESD tops can be ordered in colors that match or are compatible with the powder coat paint finish of bench frames, though selection is limited to 2-3 colors. (Standard laminates are available in matching colors.) Contact us for exact specifications, sample chips, etc.

ESD MATS Bench Worksurface or Floor Applications:

Materials include:

  • Vinyl
  • Rubber
  • Homogeneous Static dissipative or conductive materials available
  • Use floor mats with any of our heel grounders
  • Available with or without foam backing
LAB SEATING – CHAIRS & STOOLS ESD Rated Polyester and Vinyl:

Our 1000 and 2000 series seating products are all available in ESD versions. ESD rated polyester and vinyl materials are offered. These fabrics carry a 10 year warranty and guarantee a dissipation range over 106th and under 1010 STG (surface to ground). A drag chain is included on the base of all ESD seating.

ESD seating is recommended only for ESD rated flooring.
